2D1N Senaru Rim Camping Summary

Day 0: Arrival Day (Pick-up Service)

• Upon your arrival at Lombok Airport or any other port in Lombok, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Senaru, which is included in the package.
• At the hotel, you will be welcomed with a refreshing drink while our staff provides a brief orientation to ensure you’re well-prepared for the tour.
• You will then proceed with the check-in process and settle the remaining payment.
• If you arrive at least one hour before sunset, you will have the opportunity to visit a nearby waterfall free of charge.

Day 1: Senaru – Starting Point – Senaru Crater (Camp)

• After breakfast at 7:30 am, your guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the park office for registration and ticket collection.
• Once the formalities are completed, the trek will commence towards post 1, which takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes.
• The trek will lead you through dense tropical forests abundant with flora, birdlife, and various butterfly species.
• Along the way, you may spot orchids and, if fortunate, the rare black ebony leaf monkey, known locally as lutung.
• Rest stops will be provided, including a break at post 2, Montong Satas shelter (1,500m).
• Depending on your preference and weather conditions, you will spend the night either at the forest campsite, post 3 Mondokon Lolak (2,000m), after approximately five hours of climbing from Senaru, or continue the ascent for a couple more hours to reach the grassy meadows of Plawangan 1 Senaru crater rim at 2,641m.
• From the crater rim, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Segara Anak (2,000m) and the summit of Mt. Rinjani.
• On a clear evening, the Gili Islands, Bali, and Mt. Agung can be seen to the west.
• You will spend the night here, sleeping under the stars.

Day 2: Senaru Crater (Camp) – Descent to Senaru Village – Finish

• Wake up early to witness the sunrise while enjoying your breakfast.
• Prepare for the descent back to Senaru village, which will take approximately 5 hours, including a lunch break along the way.
• You are expected to reach Senaru village between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm, depending on your pace.
• Your driver will be waiting to transfer you to your next destination.

Items to pack:

• Trekking shoes: Choose running or hiking shoes with a good grip.
• Thick coat or jacket: If you don’t have one, you can rent it on-site.
• Shorts: Pack shorts for nature saunas.
• Long pants: It can get very cold at high altitudes, sometimes reaching below freezing temperatures.
• Small towels
• Personal medication
• Digital camera and camcorder
• Plantation seeds for environmental conservation
